Lennon Romo

About me
My name is Lennon Romo and I’m a self-taught digital artist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media production with a minor in Film that I obtained from the University of Texas at El Paso. I grew up in the borderland between El Paso and Juarez, Mexico and have spent a good portion of my life attempting to explore myself and my identity as a young, Hispanic LGBTQ+ woman through the work that I produce, especially since entering university. I enjoy depicting often more fantasy and supernatural based stories/characters in my work, as well as consuming such related media due to a personal interest in worlds that are much more than meets the eye.
I believe that digital forms of media are a significant means of communication that allows us to express pieces of ourselves to those around us, and in turn can even be something that even others can connect with themselves. This is a belief that I maintain as a digital creator and something that motivates me with the work that I aim to produce in the future.
Through my studies, I began to take an interest in the application of cinematic elements into the video game medium and the way that such products allow players to interact with the characters and narrative in such an immersive and personal manner. Whether it be through my digital art, writing, or the application of cinematic knowledge, I believe that my versatility as a digital creator can help in bringing new, personally connective products in the progressively expanding video game industry to life.
